From Gardeners with the Best Front Gardens in Halesworth

  • Start small in containers and pots and you will soon want to expand
  • Grow plants that suit your soil and check whether they like sun or shade
  •  Select plants that are easy to grow and look nice
  • Get or grow local plants; Choose plants you like
  •  Look carefully at plants before you get them and only buy healthy plants
  • Grow bee and butterfly friendly plants
  • Go for Colour; Use contrasts with evergreens between splashes of colour
  • Go for plants that look good for a long time
  • Slugs don’t eat begonias!  Geraniums will overwinter in sheltered spots
  • Feed, weed and water plenty!  Regularly!
  • Deadhead regularly
  • There is all the information you need in our Halesworth Library
  • Foillow instructions on packets or ;labels or from Books
  • Spray roses for greenfly with soapy water
  • Feed plants with Tomorite
  • Make compost and use it on your garden
  • Use water butts
  • Hard Work pays off!
  • Keep it tidy
  • If in doubt – plant it- take care of it – and enjoy the results
  • Get outside
  • Just enjoy your garden!
