Above Brian Hammond checking entries, The wonderful array of Cups and Shields. It was great to see the arrays of flowers, vegetables and cakes but it would have been even better another year if more people had the time to enter. Halesworth in Bloom will gladly help publicise in future years.
Our Halesworth and District Horticultural Society, affiliated to the RHS, was founded in 1966 and has 80 current members. We meet on the second Thursday of the Month in St Mary's Church Hall at 7.30 pm There are a wonderful programme of talks which a full Church hall testifies to and the next one is on October 13th with Terry Cook of the British Fuchsia Society telling us how to overwinter Fuchsias.. The Society notice board is up outside Coopers and new members are warmly welcomed.
